Anyone wanting a canine companion for Canicross or who has an active, outdoor lifestyle, then Sascha is for you. We can never seem to get good pictures of this stunning girl as she doesn’t often keep still.

Sascha is possibly a Springer cross Collie. She is fun, energetic and intelligent. She is friendly, affectionate and likes children. It is not known how she is with cats but has met a rabbit and not taken much notice so we feel she would be okay. She would like a home with another playful dog as she really needs this interaction and could play all day.

Please, please share to find this girl her forever home.

Kevin – 5-6 month old male Springer cross Miniature Schnauzer

Kevin is a 5-6 month old male Springer cross Miniature Schnauzer. Kevin has come to us as an unsold pup. He is a very nervous little lad who will need to be re homed with at least one other resident dog. He will also need new owners who are around for most of the day and who have some understanding of nervous dogs.

He has never lived in a home so all is very new and intimidating for this little lad. With patience and kindness from his humans and guidance from a gentle 4 legged friend, Kevin will soon learn the home is a great place to be. Kevin has never walked on a lead either. His foster will start teaching him all about life as a loved pet however this will be ongoing and something that potential adopters should be happy to continue with.

Kevin will most likely have accidents in the home initially, with a little patience Kevin will go forward and become a loyal and devoted loving member of the family. He will need new owners who are around for most of the day, at least one other resident gentle canine companion and older teenagers who understand he will need time and space to settle in. He has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is currently on foster in Streatham London.

Marley – 2 year old male Springer cross English Cocker Spaniel

Marley is a 2 year old blue roan Sprocker. Marley needs a new home with someone who likes their dog to have a bit of a character! He needs a home with teenage plus children, as an only dog or with another dog who won’t let him dominate them. In a home that is aware he is a thief, food, socks, shoes, anything. No cats. My original write up described this boy as headstrong, boisterous and completely bonkers and that still fits. We can now add pulls on the lead and awful recall to his list of issues it seems however. I am sure some people who adopt think they are getting a fully trained dog, if such a thing exists!

So Marley is a gorgeous, characterful, funny, happy, non aggressive Cocker. He steals things, he pulls on the lead, he has poor recall and jumps on worktops. This boy has been let down big time. So he needs someone will have time and patience and the love to train him to become the dog we all know he can. He will greatly benefit from training sessions. He is now in foster in Dorset and is neutered, vaccinated, chipped, wormed and deflead.

Adoption is subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption fee of £200. Applications via the website please.

Sandy – 6 year old male Springer cross English Cocker Spaniel

Sandy is a 6 year old male Springer cross English Cocker Spaniel who came into rescue due to fighting with another dog in the home. But he has been the perfect house guest getting on just fine with their female dog. Sandy has shown what a lovely dog he is. He has had lots of long walks and we have worked on his recall but this will need some more work. He does pull on the lead of course . There has been cows in the field behind the house and has not bothered with them although he has not taken well to fosterer’s chickens would have chased them if he could.

He has lived with cats in the past. He loves to be groomed even falling asleep. Great with older children 8+. He is crate trained and doesn’t go on the furniture. He does tend to jump up visitors to say hi. He is not food aggressive and he will pick things up like shoes etc but gives them up straight away easily, he has been left for periods of time with no problems, had no toilet accidents and he isn’t destructive.

Sandy will make someone a fantastic pet either with a family with no pets or with just female dogs. Sandy is in foster in Lincolnshire and is neutered, chipped, vaccinated, wormed and flead and adoption is subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption fee of £200. Applications via the website please.

Gypsy is a 5 year old Springer cross English Cocker Spaniel. Gypsy can be a bit nervous at times with new situations. She came to us shadow chasing but this is improving all the time. No food or toy aggression, she is good with other dogs she meets when out and about both on or off the lead. Good recall. Pulls on the lead but is getting better, loves a cuddle, good at pulling your heart strings, good with horses and cows but will chase sheep.

No cats, poultry or small furries, not tried with children so teenage plus please. She loves travelling in the car.She needs an active home with someone around most of the day. Someone out there are going to be very lucky when they adopt Gypsy. She is in foster in Yorkshire and is neutered, vaccinated, chipped, wormed and flead and adoption is subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption fee of £250.

Applications via the website please.

Denzil – 12 month old male Springer cross English Cocker Spaniel

0
0

Denzil is a stunning 12 month old black and white Springer cross English Cocker Spaniel with beautiful markings. He came to us as he wasn’t getting enough exercise which negatively impacted on his behaviour whilst in the house. Typical young dog Denzil has lots of energy, he loves his toys and will happily play for hours.

Denzil has basic training, however he pulls on the lead, we’ve made some progress and he is eager to please but his training will need to be continued. He walks brilliantly off the lead and his recall is good, although can sometimes have selective hearing. Denzil loves playing with the ball and other dogs on his walks and a good walk will see him sleep for hours. He hasn’t been tested with children in foster but did come to us from living with kids.

Denzil is only vocal when our other dog barks, he’s the cuddliest boy ever and will settle every night on your knee. He would suit an active home with plenty of time to walk and continue his training. He is not cat tested. He is in foster in Leeds and is neutered, chipped, vaccinated, wormed and flead. He is in Leeds. Adoption is subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption fee of £200.  Applications via the website please.

Rafi – 8 month old male Springer cross Retriever

0
0

Rafi is a 8 month old Springer cross Retriever. Super cuddly boy who thrives on attention, adores nighttime snuggles. He loves playing but is not overly energetic and not mad like a Spaniel. He was guarding odd things when he arrived although a sharp no and he has now given in and foster mum Maxine can cuddle him in his bed and take toys etc from him without an issue. He has no food aggression. I feel he needs someone that will carry on with what foster has done and say no to him after all he’s just a goofy puppy.

He travels well, recall okay ish but could do with some work never goes far but will carry on sniffing then come to you, doesn’t pull on lead!!! He is submissive with the other dogs and hasn’t bothered with yard cats, and loves the horses. This boy needs an active experienced outside type home, on a farm or stable yard would be ideal.

A home with older teenage plus children, with other dogs and cats would be okay as long as dog savvy. A work in progress is Rafi. He is in foster in West Sussex and he is neutered vaccinated, chipped, wormed and flead. Adoption is subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption fee of £300. Applications via the website please.

Bear – 5 year old male Springer Cross

0

Bear is a nearly 5 year old Springer cross. At risk of pts due to killing a neighbours cat we are so glad we saved him as he is a really sweet nice lad. Hi I’m Bear and I’m a treble AAA dog! AWESOME ADORABLE and ADOPTABLE. I want a home who can give me love and lots of exercise. In return I will give you the same! My foster mum says I must point out my good and bad points. I only know of my good points so she said she will put what she calls my bad ones. Not sure what she means but I’m a dog! So I am extremely loving, cuddly and fun. I am brill at recall unless I see a bird or small furry thing to chase. I like toys and I look after them. I am good on a lead and polite at dinner time. I even give a sit and paw. Humans seem happy with this. Anyway over to my foster mum.

Bear is a great dog and very loyal. He is happy to meet people and will face wash complete strangers outside his home but in his own space he likes to check people out and needs to walk up to them. He feels threatened when someone enters his home but once he accepts you he will love you. Bear wants a home with no or older teenage children , with no cats , fine with other dogs but equally happy as an only dog. He is in foster in Hampshire and he is neutered, chipped, vaccinated, wormed and flead.

Adoption subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption donation of £200. Applications via forms section of the website please.

Millie – 3 year old female Jack Russell Terrier cross Springer

0
0

Millie is a 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier cross Springer and such a fantastic little dog.
Don’t be fooled by her petite stature- what she lacks in height she more than makes up for in personality. Millie definitely prefers ladies and initially is very submissive but soon warms to you and will make a fantastic loyal companion. She will need some time to settle into a new home and get to know you. She has bundles of energy, and is very intelligent with a typical stubborn terrier streak! She knows sit, wait, paw and I think would really enjoy an activity such as agility. She is surprisingly strong and lead walking was hard work with her weaving and pulling, particularly bad when walking alongside other dogs, but is responding very well to walking on a fig 8 lead and better when lead training on her own.

Her off lead recall has not been fully tested as she has been in season since being in foster and flaunting herself shamelessly, however recall at home or out on the long line is fab. Good with other dogs in the foster home, has fallen in love with our Cocker and will be ideally looking for a playful young dog to live with in her new home. On walks she is submissive at other dogs approaching her but once introductions have been done she’s keen to play. She can be possessive over balls and toys if they are being thrown, always wants to be the one to get them and can be quite vocal but it’s just noise. She is good with children but would suggest over 8s please as she does have bad habits such as jumping up, and barging at doorways.

Millie came from a loving family environment, but due to a change in circumstances was being left for long periods of time and consequently has some separation anxiety. This has improved greatly in the short time she has been in foster, but new owners will need to be prepared to continue working on this with her, and at home most of the time please. She is not at all destructive but does bark and get herself wound up. She is up to date with worming and flea treatments and soon to have the last part of her vaccination course. She is also chipped. She is currently in season so will go with a clause in her contract that she must be neutered as soon as your vet is happy to do so.

In foster in Hampshire adoption is subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption donation of £250. Applications via the forms section of website please.

Jasper – 2 year old male Springer Cross

0
0

Jasper is a 2 year old male Springer Cross. Jasper was a stray with no chip and therefore no name. Having done his time in the local pound he came to SAUK with no information at all. Jasper is a Springer with possibly a touch of something else – maybe Cocker or Collie. We think he’s around 2 years old and has some puppy-ish behaviours. He’s a good looking, happy, energetic, bouncy, affectionate lad. Loves walks, playing ball, chew toys/bones and training in his new life as Jasper. He’ll need to live with another friendly dog to help him learn the ropes and cuddle up with. Walks nicely on the lead and happiest when off, good recall, travels well and sleeps on a bed downstairs. He can jump to head height from standing so will need a home with sturdy fences and a secure garden.

Jasper is looking for a special lady in his life – he bonds strongly with women. Once he’s settled he’ll be sleeping at her feet and very affectionate. If he’s scared or nervous he’ll be leaning against her legs for reassurance. He’s fine with men who live in the home, great meeting people and dogs when out and about, but will nip any strange men who come into the house unless they follow a greeting routine. He can sometimes get a bit mouthy during over-excited play, so dog savvy older teens only, please. He’s fine to be left for a short while but would prefer to have someone home most of the time. No cats or small furries.

Jasper is a lovely, affectionate, energetic boy who would like lots of walks and interaction with his new family and other dogs. Jasper is neutered, chipped, fleaed, wormed and is in foster in Salisbury. Adoption is subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption donation of £200. Applications via forms section of the website please.

Sony – 5 year old female Springer Cross

0

Sony is a 5 year old female Springer cross. She is so Spaniel like. She is full of beans, loves her walkies and is super friendly to absolutely everyone she meets. She’s probably one of the happiest dogs you’ll ever meet. Nothing can ruin her day, she is the poster girl for positive thinking! Being a spaniel type she does pull on the lead but if you know spaniels then you will be expecting this! She is just keen to get going. She loves the volunteers who take her jogging, this is one of her favourite pastimes! If you want an extremely happy, sociable, friendly, fun and energetic companion then Sony is the girl for you!

We don’t know what she is crossed with but she just acts and looks very springer (just her little, wiry beard gives her away). Vaccinated, spayed wormed, micro chipped and vet checked.

Pep – 3-4 year old male Sringer cross Collie

0
0

Pep or Peperreeno is a 3 1/2 year old black and white Sringer cross Collie, who has come into foster due to guarding and biting issues. Along with his previous owners moving into a flat. In his previous home Pep would guard sofas or things on the floor and has bitten in the process on some occasions. Since coming into foster there has been no guarding of food or sofas or beds, maybe a bit stubborn to come ‘off’. With only half hearted attempts of guarding items on the floor, amounting to nothing and needing only a simple treat.

Pep doesn’t exhibit huge signs in these situations but they are there and you must be able to read these subtle signs to avoid bringing out his problems. He is fantastic with children but unfortunately due to his guarding they must be older or none. Pep loves to run especially if another dog is running with him and can spend all his walk running if his friend Toby is there. However Pep works on a pack order basis and if you are below Pep in the pack he will be aggressive with lunging teeth and touch with nips. He needs a very dominate dog or no dogs unfortunately.

This also applies to people, in that Pep needs to know he is not top dog to avoid his guarding and biting issues. He has lived with cats but will chase. Pep loves attention especially his back or belly being being scratched, he however will still puppy mouth play which he is learning not to.. Pep is also overweight and on a very strict diet which for his benefit needs to be continued in his new home.He needs an experienced active home. Pep is in foster in Malton Yorkshire, and he is neutered, chipped, vaccinated, wormed and flead.

Adoption subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption donation of £200. Applications via forms section of website please.

Daisy – 7 year old female Springer cross English Cocker Spaniel

0
0

Daisy is a 7 year old female Springer cross English Cocker Spaniel with lots of love to give and just wants to be with you all the time and to have her chest rubbed. Shes loves her walks, so an active home would be good. She does pull on the lead and is a VERY strong girl but we have found walking her in a Halti works well. Her recall isn’t always reliable, especially if there is something more interesting (chickens, deer etc) but this can be worked on with a long line and some training. Shes gets very excited at meal times and may bark if you take to long to dish it up haha.

She is happy to be left for a maximum of 4 hours but must be homed with other dogs as she doesn’t like being on her own. She sleeps down stairs with my 3 dogs happily. She travels well in the car as well. She does need to lose some weight as she is a big girl, we currently have her on a diet and its going well.

Daisy is a very sweet little lady that wants lots of love attention and walks. She is not cat tested but we guess she would chase. She has lived with children before but over 10’s please as we have no experience of her with little ones. Daisy is not neutered due to just having had a season and will be rehomed with a contract to spay. She is vaccinated, chipped, wormed and flead and is in foster in Devizes Wiltshire.

Adoption subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption donation of £200. Applications via forms section of website.

Loulou – 5 year old female Springer cross English Cocker Spaniel

0
0

Loulou is a very busy girl, she likes to spend her days sniffing and snuffling around indoors and outdoors. Her recall is great and she never goes far from the back door. She is looking for a country residence where she can explore and keep busy. She is used to horses and doesn’t chase them, but may woof when approached. She is happiest when she’s outside doing jobs with you. She will settle indoors once she has been out and worked off her energy, then she is happy to cuddle and be fussed or watch you do the ironing or washing up. She sleeps in the kitchen alone at night without any issues.

Lou is a lady who wants to be with you and doing. She gets on well with children especially outdoors playing games, she sits to be fed and walks on a lead. However, her relationship with cats is a little mixed. Depending on her mood, she may choose to chase a cat, but generally she has the good sense to leave them alone. Lou has two issues: firstly, she is a very dominate lady, we have not had problems with our submissive dogs, but she does keep trying to dominate our more dominant male. So she needs to either be an only dog, which I think she would relish, as she can be your BFF, or with a very submissive dog who, once she has laid the law down to, she will ignore.

She can be defensively aggressive in situations she finds stressful, such as car journeys to new places like the vets. In these situations she needs to be given time to make her own mind up and not rushed. Her second issue is a little embarrassing. She has the occasional tiddle and poo in the house. She’s clean and dry overnight and when left in during the day. The accidents occur when she’s busy in the house and seems to forget to ask or go outside. With continuing praise for going outside and by ignoring the accidents, the number of incidents has reduced.

LouLou is a very loving girl, who will make an excellent companion. Loulou is neutered chipped vaccinated wormed and flead and adoption is subject to meet and greet homecheck and adoption fee. Apps via forms section of website please

Donnie – 2 year old male Springer cross Collie

0
0

Donnie is a 2 year old Springer Collie cross and a very sociable chap once he’s comfortable with the people around him, and enjoys company. There’s no history for him, but it’s likely he may have been through a lot of changes in a short period, and is finding things a little challenging.

He enjoys playing with toys, especially fetch, and he’ll do anything for a treat! Donnie doesn’t enjoy kennels. He desperately needs a home that understands collies or high activity working breeds. With some routine, stability and dedication, Donnie will thrive and come on in leaps and bounds.

He will walk alongside most dogs, but he doesn’t like to be pestered by any of them. He will need an adult only home, as Donnie will occasionally be protective of his food and should be left alone when eating, as all dogs should.

Fudge – 2 year old male Springer Cross English Cocker Spaniel

0
0

Fudge is a 2 year old male Springer Cross English Cocker Spaniel. Where to start with Fudge? He’s such a contradiction. He’s a lovely cuddle monster in the house and turning into a lunatic outside. Fudge behaves really well in the house he has slept all night either in a bed downstairs in the lounge or on the sofa. He does bark when someone comes to the door but soon quietens. He has got on reasonably well with our resident dog although he has gone for a visiting ex foster both inside and out but after the initial confrontation he settled quite well. He has no obvious guarding issues and will give up toys etc. He hasn’t had much contact with children although he did snap at my grandson last week (we put it down to so much going on but it wasn’t a good sign).

Fudge pulls on the lead but we have had him on a harness which is working a bit better. He walks well with a halti or figure of eight lead. He lunges at passing dogs although mostly to say hello but in some cases he his reactive and screams and barks until they have passed. We haven’t let him off the lead as his recall is poor but he will bring a ball straight back. We have exercised him on a long lead when we can.

Fudge would be better as an only dog and child free. He would be happy with someone who can stimulate him ie agility or Cani or as a possible working dog. He is nose down sniffing. He needs an experienced owner who can get the best out of him.

Fudge is neutered chipped vaccinated wormed and flead and adoption is subject to meet and greet homecheck and adoption fee. Applications via forms section of website please.
